Our first game ends in defeat.

Playing against an established amateur team was always going to be a hard ask for our Reserves first game, but we got exactly what we wanted from it, a game of football.

The team lined up in a 4-4-1-1 formation for our first game.

Starting 11:

In goals, Graham Hastie, with a back four of Connor Donaldson at RB, the Brown Brothers (Martin & Steven) at CB and Jordan Choi at LB.

Andrew Mason (captain) and Gerry in the middle of the park with Sam Mearns on the right, and Lewis Mckay on the left.

The manager James Davie played in the hole behind Stewart Orr.

Our substitutes all got in on the action too with Luke Coyle, Liam Marshall, Ross Jamieson, Jamie Laughlan, Lewis McParlane, Cal Healy and Jack all getting minutes on the park.

We started off well, and had control of the midfield for the first quarter. Going behind to the first goal, we actually pulled level almost immediately after a ball through from Mason to Davie, who wasn't missing in the one on one with the keeper.

The boys put in a good shift, and have certainly done well considering only being together for a month.

We look forward to the next game.
